051911 - The Challenge - Shinjuku LOFT
EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I'm going for a lot of The Challenge shows, aren't I? hmmmmmm.
BUT I DO SO DAMN LIKE THEM VERY MUCH!!!!!!!
lol~~~
Seriously, they play very cool songs and Sawada-san is ALWAYS REALLY REALLY funny. Like the village clown. And their shows are always, always very energetic.
So anyway, this is one of their rare lives outside of Shimokita! In fact the first live in other than Garage. haha. Completely stoked!
First time I've seen their name on a kombini ticket too!! Wow!!!
ANYWAY.
So yes... They played their usual set that includes Onegai Music, Playboy, Twitter, Live House, etc... The only songs they left out this time were Wedding Song and... I think they left out Mr. Children ni Naritai.
The crowd, like the Garage show, was completely stoked when they played Aitai Aitai Cho Aitai!! This HAS TO BE their signature, first single (although, technically, Onegai Music was their first single). Everyone was really up and moving and grooving along with this one, even those who didn't know the song nor the band coz well, it's a damn easy chorus and incredibly catchy haha!
And, as always, *phew* thankfully for my pleasure, they ended their set with Ogenki Desu ka. I totallllllyyyyyyy love this song!! haha!
I thought Sawada-san wasn't at his ABSOLUTE most hillarious though! He's usually damn funny, he was still very funny today, of course, but I thought he actually cut down on his jokes!!! He was joking a lot about Super Beaver's vocalist having very, very thin legs though! haha...

051511 - OverTheDogs - ShibuyaWWW
HMMMM... I made sure I was back in time for this show!!!!!
Anywayyyyyyy... This was my first show after coming back to Japan. Yesssss~~~ What a great way to end the first half of Japan with The Challenge and start the second half with OverTheDogs... I think!
Anyway.
It's at ShibuyaWWW again. Hm. The last time I saw them was also at ShibuyaWWW.
But this time, I got like a ticket number of below 10, SOOOO i could chose a nice spot ^_^
撃鉄 (Gekkitetsu)
Ok. This is the reason why Japan is frigging weird.
So the vocalist came out half naked on nothing but a tight leather leotard, totting a hugeeeeee tiger stuff animal on his shoulder.
Kinda, urm, a foreshadowing of things to come.
Anyway, he was really rocking it out. Some part of the show, he reminded me of Anthony Green of RHCP... well only his LOOKS, NOT the music.
There were a lot of guitars, some screaming, and a lot of WTF???
And to end the set, wow, he TOPPED Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday, by climbing up 30 feet into a crane hanging over the live house, then climbed 15 feet up onto the speakers totting a WHITE tiger soft toy on his shoulder and JUMPING DOWN.
Set end.
wtf.
Cure Rubbish.
Hmmmm.... Zenzen obotenai... I can't remember their set at all.....
But, I am sure they were a guitar rock band... Their songs were probably.. erm... normal, and just blended into the craziness of the previous band and my love for OverTheDogs next.
SORRY!
OverTheDogs
They lauched straight into their set after Tsune-san finished sound checking without bothering with the usual introductions and all.
Cool.
I think they probably played only 1 or 2 songs from their "debut" album, Starlight in my Life... The other songs I think were off a previous album or live-shows only songs... Which is really surprising...
I would think that most of their fans are newer fans, than from their previous years of playing shows... But I wonder...
Tsune-san was, as usual, incredibly weird, but cool.
I guess I like OverTheDogs because of their songs. I also like OverTheDogs because coupled with good songs is a vocalist that's different and usual, wrapped up in his own world.
