So!! I FINALLY checked out SF!!!!
They're the band I stumbled across when I went into (note: went INTO but did NOT stay for) STaN's show to buy the tickets to the The Novembers/STaN show.
SOOOOO ANYYYYYWAYYYYY...
Tsukimiru Kimi Omofu is a really weird livehouse! Actually, I really liked the atmosphere there. "Tsukimiru" is like... See the moon? So behind the stage there's a backdrop of a HUGEEEEEE moon.
Anyways, it has a nice laidback atmosphere.. But it's also really weird.
I was in the gallery above before SF's set and someone upstairs like dropped an ashtray on the floor. He went down to the mosh pit and looked for the vocalist of the first band that had played.
Subsequently, the vocalist came up with a dustpan and cleaned up the mess!
WTH!!! So it's like... he's the club staff or what?!
It was so weird.
Also I saw the vocalist of SF serving a bowl of noodles to an elderly man at a table.
SO WHAT NOW?!
Weird.
Anyway, SF's set was quite short. About 6 songs. I was hoping they would play EO, but they didn't. They did play that song that first totally blew me away and caught my attention at the STaN show. So that was kick ass!!
That one song and EO is actually very unlike SF's usual songs. Those two songs were very rock-based, with driving basslines and a catchy melody.
In actuality though, SF seems more like those Japanese indie-pop-rock type of bands. Keyboards, guitar and jazzy-pop tunes. Still good though, but usually not something that I normally listen to. Good nevertheless. Might probably check them out again.
Oh, and the female vocalist/guitarist of SF is married to STaN's guitar/vocalist!!!
When I was going into the live house, they were in front of me and kinda talking back and forth discussing something and I was trying to get past them. I thought he looked familiar. At first I thought he was the drummer of SF, but then after that, I thought he might be the drummer of STaN or maybe the vocalist....
Turned out to be the vocalist.
He seemed really proud of her. He was taking a lot of pictures and stuff and waving to her.
HOW CUTE!
haha.
(he's damn weird in his own shows though!)
